Dear all,
I've had to ban the use of myspace in the bear cave, for reasons I would rather not get into, however on doing some work on the kids computer I noticed that they had been using a website called satandeathkill, to get around the block I have put on our router for myspace, I thought this would be easily solved by just adding their name to the list of blocked sites on the router however it just wont block it. It goes to a page regarding an expired cert and if you accept it then it bumps you to satandeathkill, however i noticed it has an "s" after the http so can anyone help me to try and overcome this issue.

It sounds like the bears are cleverer than the bear! They will most probably find ways around your blocks.
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Not cleverer just more devious, if they were really clever they would realise that if they dont do as they are told I'll become grizzly bear and take the net off of their pc, but thats a last step.

Have you tried using a pop-up blocker that you can add urls to? If you can, and can put a password on it, add myspace to that (as well as any other urls you want to block).
Next time they try and open myspace, the browser will think it's a popup and close. And since it's password protected, they won't be able to remove the url from the list.
Warning though - there are a lot of proxies available. If you block one, it's very easy to get find another, so it's nigh on impossible to block every single one of them.
For instance, proxy.org lists a few thousand working proxies.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0
