  • Don't do it...you'll really really regret it.

    Tiled worktops are a complete bvgger to keep clean.

    Afew years ago, we created three very long worktops out of a double layer of 20mm MDF, tiled them, then edged them with lipping (wooden trim that covered the edges of the MDF and the edges of the tiles nice and neatly, then stained it oak colour to match the units) The worktops LOOKED fantastic newly done, but after a few weeks use, it looked utterly revolting.

    Don't do it.

    Please. ;)

    The grout was all stained up even though we had used the right one AND sealed it.
