British Gas Smart meter
Just wondering if anyone knew what could be the issue before I call them. My direct debit has shot up to ten times what I've actual used. I thought it might have been an underpayment from the other months but it has taken the same amount again. Any idea why the Smart meter isn't being read for electricity - it's fine for the gas.

Lots of possible explanations that I could guess at.
But another MSEer has already criticised me for guessing (when in that instance I wasn't)
Probably best to call the supplier and talk to them about it all
