Help with POPLA appeal - ParkWatch Coventry

I have read through all the threads and I am very confused - there is lots of information but it just made me struggle to understand.

This is what has happened to me; I would appreciate guidance on the POPLA appeal

1. 7th July the driver had PCN put on window at Coventry Arena for not parking within the bay wholly.
2. As per the threads I waited 26 days then appealed. I assumed (wrongly) that providing the genuine reason would get a genuine response so I explained what happened.
3. The car was not driven by me. I appealed and said that it was not me driving it. I explained that the car broke down and therefore was not parked. It had stopped and I instructed the driver to leave the car and wait for the engine error to clear itself.
4. The car has an intermittent issue where it will stall or not start and only waiting for 30mins or more will clear the issue. Audi have been unable to fix this issue.
5. The rejected my appeal - ignored everything I said.
6. The car was driven by a relative from the US. So I emailed them back after reading that I should name the driver. I provided the driver details to ParkWatch. To date I have not heard back.
7. I will assume they will ignore my reply and wait for POPLA appeal. I do have an email from Audi stating the car is faulty.
8. To date I have no received an NTK.

My understanding is they cannot pursue me as I was not the driver.

How should I proceed to POPLA?

Thanks.

    1. Read the Newbie sticky on page one of the forum
    2. Read this thread about breaking down in a car park
    3. Name the driver and get the driver to give his address for service in USA

Yes I posted that thread on fightback forums.

I have read the newbies section. It’s confusing. Complicated and that’s why I’m asking here.

Essentially what I want to know is how to word my appeal to POPLA. I have already provided the driver details to park watch and address.

    1. Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3, where there are template appeal points to use and links to a number of POPLA appeals for you to plagiarise as necessary.

    2. Do a forum search using these keywords 'ParkWatch POPLA'. Find recent successful POPLA appeals and, again, gather what you can from those and build into your own draft.
HOW TO USE THE FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION:

Use the Forum Jump button (one near the top and one near the bottom of this page) to get back to the forum thread list. Just above the threads, on the right, is a heading along a line, next to forum tools, called 'Search this Forum'. Put your key word(s) in and change the default search from 'Show Threads' to 'Show Posts'.
When you've put your draft together, post it here to see if there is a regular with time to look it over and critique it for you before submission.

    Don't miss your POPLA deadline.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

How come your Pepipoo thread is about ParkingEye and this one about ParkWatch?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
