Hi thanks all,
Yes I have managed to pre-fund March pretty much all aside from mortgage, which I never count with my income as hubbys wage always covers that then I roll what's left of his to month after. This month is slightly lower income for me than normal (and I do not feel I am a high earner at all), so we are working very hard not to spend (£1500 spent so far, groceries are all that is left in budget), and have a few pennies now budgeted in April.
Have a new client starting today, and it's very sunny, so here's to a positive week!
Little man had a sleepover last night and an amazing time, so happy for him xMFW #185

Hi all lovely sunny day out there, but working my little socks off as have MiniEL with grandparents so need to utilise the time to the max as earnings were pitiful last week. Still nice to not have the heating on, and grateful for ongoing clients. New ones yesterday were very nice.
A close family member is suffering from depression and physical pain, very hard to know how to help as it's been ongoing such a long time. Will call again today to try and lift their spirits.
Helping a friend set up their business and with social media, and in exchange am getting our front garden done, win win as they say. I am a terrible gardener ha.
Hope you are all well?MFW #185

Hi everyone, hope you are well!
Loved that sunshine last week and I think it did everyone the world of good. That plus we have a busy month ahead and work is good, so doesn't take much to keep me happy!
The flurry of excitement for the beginning of the month is over so here is my update for now:
MONTHLY UPDATE
Mortgage: £86,571.10 (offset £9000) = £77,571
Food shopping last month: £279.28 (3 adults, 1 child, 1 cat)
Net worth = £18,715
Funds: Finally these are up woohoo!
Holiday Fund: FULLY funded woop
Tax Fund: £500 to go then I am ready for July payment
Christmas Fund: That will be my next Goal
We were offsetting more money, but we are now going to only focus on the funds, building cash for now in case Brexit delivers a sale moment or anything else happens then we can invest.
Hubby has been working nights so I hope this translates into an extra £50 or £100 we can invest.
Aside from that just waiting on lodger payment and CB this month (as we pay savings and pension for our son at the beginning of the month, CB gets invested), plus Friday paydays to buffer April in full soon hopefully.
We fixed up the bathroom this weekend and I have spent £12 on gardening matting, so only £10 left for DIY this month BUT a friend has given me a good deal on some shingle so might buy that from her.
MrEL has started 121 swimming so this is expensive and has put a dent in things this month but it's very good quality and worth it so am budgeting ahead for a special Easter intensive course too.
Really annoyed at the Supermarket I mentioned as they are just not budging, I don't feel it's ok to find something like that in your food and be fobbed off with couple of vouchers and a pretty templated reply. I feel like giving up but might post on MSE see if anyone can help.
Hope you are all well, if you have any tips on batch cooking for Spring I am all ears!MFW #185

Hi everyone!
Well it's been quite a month. I have been given a surprise cash gift which can make a huge difference to us. So far we have barely touched it as unsure quite what to do, so thinking time needed.
On the work front all is well and a few new clients signed up, meaning I can slowly let go of a couple that take up lots of my time and pay the least. Hubby got great news of a raise AND they will also provide him a van and mileage card, so we can sell his van and no longer pay hundreds out in diesel every month. It feels like all the hard work of the last 3 years is finally paying off, as we both have really had to make sacrifices to get through this stage.
I will update end of month as not much happening on the YNAB front, hope you are well.MFW #185
