MP3 In-Car CD Player with no sound

Just had a new MP3 car radio with bluetooth kit fitted, very impressed with it all - except the MP3 CD part, I already have an MP3 CD disc (that is a data CD that has had MP3's copied onto it) but when I put it in the CD drive, it sees only one track and plays it but I can't hear any sound.

I have burnt 2 further CD's, one has definately been finalized and the other has MP3's in folders but neither of them work either - same thing, it sees one track and plays it but there is no audio.

Regular CD's work fine, radio is fine and bluetooth is fine.

I have burnt an Audio MP3 CD (as opposed to data CD) but it's not really an MP3 CD, its the MP3's converted to CDA's - but it does work.

I have downloaded numerous CD burners but none of them work

Can anyone advise me what to do?

How do you know it's playing the one track if you can't hear anything

Does the manual state any specific disc requirements ( e.g. -R or +R ). What about directory structures - does it require all MP3's in the root directory ?

What make / model is the player ? Who fitted it ?

The display show T-01 and the minutes and seconds of the track played

It states CD-R/RW/ROM and I have used CD-RW's, I have burnt 1 CD with all the tracks at the root level and 1 with the tracks in a folder - same result

Kenwood KDC-W3537A, fitted by an experienced installer

Not connected but the manual also states - CD's that are not round cannot be used - brought a smile to my face!

You dont get these type of specs for CD's only dvds

Could you post the make and model of the MP3 player.

Short of trying a CD-R ( rather than a CD-RW ) then, just to make sure, I'd be asking for a replacement - sounds like you have tried everything else.
