    Just going back to the OP, I recently bought an lcd tv from beyondtelevision, their prices were great and I was really pleased with their service.

    BTW I wouldn't touch this sara company either!

    This picture is the hotel that's been built out of the old Brewery. I work just round the corner, and there aren't any TV retailers close by. There are some really dodgy market traders in Whitecross Street though. ;)
  • They only accept western union too. Theres a suprise.

    People will actually fall for it though.

    sara shopping scam.
  • They're also selling...

    * an 8GB iPhone for £175
    * 5 MacBooks for £915
    * 5 Panasonic 40" LCDs for £1371

    ...need I continue? :p
  • Hi

    I've just spent the last 20 minutes between the Met Police Fraud squad site, and the Trading Standards site trying to find a way to report Sara Shopping. Sad to say, you don't seem to be able to.

    I've just tried to place an order and got to a page which said the following. They don't take Credit Card so no protection. Would keep clear of this company. Seems very dodgy.

    Payment Methodpixel_trans.gifThis is currently the only payment method available to use on this order.pixel_trans.gifpixel_trans.gifpixel_trans.gifWire transfer or Western Union

    From the 1 April 2007, new procedures came into effect in England, Wales and Northern Ireland which mean that banks and financial institutions become the first point of contact for cheque, plastic card and online fraud offences. In most cases consumers will be required to report instances of this type of fraud straight to their bank or building society and not to the police. It will be up to the financial institution involved, and not the account holder, to pass details of the relevant crime on to the police.
