Hi all,
I'm after some advice on an online store called Sara Shopping, based down in London. I'm researching plasma TV's with a view to buying one and their website turned up an absolute bargain. Trouble is i've never actually heard of the firm before and can't seem to find any customer reviews on the net. They seem to offer a lot of electronics at highly competitive prices and wondered if anyone has heard of, or used them before as I don't want to get stung?
link to the TV itself

Thanks in advance,

Personally i wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole. They might be legit, but google fails to come up with a single mention (besides their own site) and that office building pic on the contact page certainly isn't on Chiswell St.0

I know, I got no hits on google either, but they have links on a lot of major review sites, CNET.co.uk, unbeatable.co.uk for best price comparisons. The site says they've been established for 3 years, so surely someone must have some knowledge of them?0 -
The domain is registered by a hosting company in Chicago, and was only registered on 2/9/07, so the Copyright 2004-2007 on the would make me nervous.
Reading the text - the front page alone is written in poor english. I agree with Mark above, although I wouldn't touch it with his bargepole, let alone mine!!0 -
"Sara Shopping managed to keep itself on the 1st place in the top of british suppliers for plasma tvs". Boll**ks
Just noticed their contact number is also a mobile ..
Walk away !0 -
I suppose the age old adage of that if something is probably too good to be true, it usually is applies.........
Thanks guys!0 -
Seriously, just a quick scan of the appalling grammar/spelling in the very first paragraph on the home page should scream STAY AWAY!!Welcome to www.sara-shopping.com, your online shop for the latest and most performant electronics. We proud ourselves in having the latest products on market as well as the best support available for you. As your customers needs are in a continuous growth, our company prouds itself for being one of the biggest and most serious suppliers. There is no doubt in that! Most of the products you see on this website are not available at other suppliers, you may even have the honor of being the first company selling a cell phone's model or a laptop which is not available in other places.
It's laughable!0 -
I work near Chiswell street and I can tell you that building in the picture doesn't exist there. That is some random picture0
-
they also state that they are the biggest supplier of mobile phones in the uk
that alone is a load of cods as phones4u lead by a mileneed to have a lightbulb moment0 -
The payment method we accept is wire transfer for orders larger than 1,200 Euro and Western Union or Money Gram for orders between 600-1200 Euro. Under no circumstance will our company accept credit cards or paypal for any of our orders. Please do not ask our staff members about other payment methods because it will be a waste of time for both our staff and you.
Shame... :rolleyes:0 -
We just bought a 50" samsung plasma with surround kit and dvd recorder at currys a couple weeks ago. My o/h is a sales man so he wasnt taking any punches! We were there about 7.30pm, they shut at 8pm, they bartered for a while, I walked away with embarrasment, he always does it, and it always works! we ended up getting £400 quid off the total price!! Try it they can do 'deals' if you tell them you are gonna walk out that door!! It also makes them happy if you take out the insurance which is £10 per month, (you can cancel any time you wish) i think it gives them brownie points with the company, but i wanted it anyway I have two kids and a wiii so Im just waiting for that remote to go flying across the room and I will get a new tv straight away!! Good luck!!:heart2::heart2::heart2: I LOVE MY BEAGLE! :heart2::heart2::heart2:0
