Police monitored burglar alarm costs

Hello,
I've purchased a new build property and will be moving in soon. Having researched options, I would feel most comfortable with a police monitored alarm. We have a relatively small 3 bed house, with roughly 5 or 6 zones. What companies can you recommend and can you give a rough monthly and/or annual quotation?
Thanks

As above, we had a quote for an ADT alarm. I think the alarm was £1000 with all sorts of sensors, and £30/mth for monitoring. If the alarm goes off, they try and get in touch with you. If they can't, they will notify the police. There's no guarantee the police will attend (apparently they might if they're not too busy which is what the salesman said).0

You can install your own alarm, which will text and/or phone you should the alarm be activated.
It can also be set to text you when the alarm is set and unset, can be setup to text you if there's a power cut, and when it's restored etc etc.
Available from ~£100, ebay etc.0 -

This.
The monitoring company only phone you up anyway. The fact we have the internet means that we can see exactly what's going on with cameras and all sorts, directly on our phones. You can get a message as soon as cameras detect movement.
The key is to deter burglars, not have someone phone you when they've broken in already.
I can talk at people from the CCTV cameras we've installed. "Get off my land!"Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hello All
I am not sure if i can post this question here for DIY home security alarms.
Could you please recommend a Smart home security alarm system like DIY.
1. so far i managed to find only Yale smart alarm to get alarms through Apps such as Yale SR-340 - £399 (PIR and motion sensor system+broadband needed)
2. Is there any other things as well.0 -
Lots of stuff about ADT charging outrageous amounts of money to simply change batteries.

I have no personal experience though this would put me off.0 -
Gers is correct about ADT charging and check out how easy it is to leave them. Their service is very good though.0
