Won Popla appeal, still being chased for payment.

Hi all,
Got a parking ticket from private company.
I was not the driver of the car, but got the ticket as the registered keeper. The user of the car had purchased a ticket, but an error was made with one digit of the reg we entered on the ticket.
I appealed on the basis that we had ticket a ticket and that I was not the driver of the ticket at the Popla appeal.
Popla emailed me in the week saying the parking company don’t want to contest the appeal so I won by default...I thought all good.
Then a few days ago the parking company sent me a nice email asking me for the drivers details and that was there reason for not contesting the appeal To give me a chance to give the drivers details.
My question is can the parking company still chase the ticket and win if it ever went to Court even though the appeal against the original ticket has been won by me.
Thanks

Which parking company? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Your thread title looks misleading
They aren't chasing you for payment are they?
Ignore their request for the driver details0 -
Did they chase for payment or was it a "friendly request"? Either way report them to the BPA.0
-
Sorry for the misleading title.
They have just asked in a very polite non threatening way for driver details.
My plan was to just ignore them and hope they cease to email me or send letters.
I wasn’t sure now they lost the appeal can they still contact me and chase me for details.
Thanks all0 -
Of course they can ask you for the driver's details and if you were foolish enough to give them that information they could then start chasing the driver for money - culminating in possible court action against the driver.
Ignore their request.
Sadly, this is the game you are caught up in.

You need to complain to your Member of Parliament about this industry.0 -
Does this relate to the same parking ticket?

Yes this relates to the same ticket.
I have not contacted the parking company back with any driver details.
I am the registered keeper of the car.
The car was parked at waterworld in Stoke.
Its managed by Smart Parking0 -
Make a complaint to the BPA - the charge has been cancelled.
Email Smart and decline their kind offer to name the driver and should they contact you again in respect of this parking charge then you will view this as unwarranted harassment and any further correspondence will be subject to a £xx fee per letter.0 -
Complain to the site manager and/or the CEO of Waterworld that you are being harassed by their agent whom they employed, despite the fact that you beat their bogus charge on appeal.
Complain to the BPA and DVLA as above.
Complain to you MP and the MP where Waterworld is located as above.
Include your proof that the scam charge was cancelled. Include in your complaints to Waterworld and the MPs the comments made by other MPs in open parliament.
These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to the MPs and Waterworld in your complaints. Ask the MPs to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if they want further information about this scam.

That's a new one on me. Atrocious, but the BPA will say it's all good.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
