Ford Fiesta top mount labour hours
Comments

Sounds a bit excessive, I changed my front suspension including removing and refitting the top mounts and it took about an hour a side. I would expect a garage to be quicker!0

I did them myself on a Fiesta MK6. On the driveway it took me an afternoon of around 4 hours but I was taking it easy and was met with some very stubborn bolts. I’d have expected a garage to take less time doing it day in day out. Out of interest why did both strut top mounts need doing? Were they knocking?0

Thought so. Paying £69/hour plus VAT as a student really hurts my wallet...! I'm assuming now it's been done + paid for I can't really contest it either...I did them myself on a Fiesta MK6. Yes, and in fairness it was as quoted. I just didn't really think about it until afterwards, stupidly.AndyMc..... wrote: »Didn't you ask how much before they started?0 -
Were they both knocking then?0

I can remember changing mine as I was convinced it was causing a knocking but after all the effort it turned out not to be them. Hopefully it has sorted yours though.0

Well even if things had gone smoothly and they did it in 1 hour less only £70 plus vat saved, not a fortune and i know this is a money saving forum but the garage did quote 3.5 hours before they started.0
