Hi, hoping somoene can help me out with a bit of advice. I've changed brake discs and pads on almost every car we have owned and to be honset I actually quite enjoy doing the work myself as it means I get a chance to have a good look at various components etc. Im now faced with the situation of having another car with an electronic parking brake which you cant wind back using a wind back tool. My previous car I used to plug into VagCom to retract the pistons. I now have a Hyundai and I need to change the discs and pads at the rear. Any recommendations for a cost effective plug in tool to do this? I've already got an ODB2 diagnostic plug in so don't really need it for anything other than the rear piston retraction and I guess maybe resetting the air bag light if I ever needed to.

Any advice greatfully received

Have you looked on youtube etc to see how it's done?

On my Volvo, its relatively easy to remove the parking brake motor and wind it back manually or alternatively connecting a 9v PP3 battery across the motor in reverse to back it out.

If there's a way, someone will have found it.
