Vitality Apple Watch Issues

Hi, I'm in need of some advice from the heroes on here!
I took out the Vitality Apple Watch offer - £29 up front then £12.50 a month for 24 months, reduced if you 'earn' enough points through activity.
All seemed good but the main purpose was to have the watch as a running watch. There are two main apps that I use - Strava and Nike+ - both very common with runners.
The issue is that the watch does not record pace or distance accurately and therefore isn't fit for purpose as a running watch.
I have been online with Nike, Apple and Strava, spending hours trying to resolve the issue but it still fails to perform.
Apple are refusing to take responsibilty - they have told me to go into the store but I have been since told that, if I do take it in, they will simply send it off for repair - minimum of two weeks, no replacement offered.
Vitality accept NO responsibility. They are saying that I should have returned it within 90 days. Surely my consumer rights cover returning these goods beyond 90 days??
I'm just banging my head against a brick wall..... HELP!!!

Even if you are able to get Vitality to agree to do something, all they would do is to send the watch off to Apple for a repair (something that they are legally allowed to choose to do) and in reality, this repair would probably end up taking far longer than if you were to take it into the store yourself.0

Is it sold as or described as a Running Watch ??0

Surely I'm entitled to a refund for the goods being faulty? Apple advised me as much when they directed me back to Vitality....0

Not as it's been more than 30 days since purchase. (unless you first reported the problem within 30 days from taking possession of the watch).
After this period, the retailer is entitled to choose to repair, replace or refund.0 -

How incredibly frustrating. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, tried everything to recalibrate but have just given up on it. Hence me pushing it now...0 -
So if apple fix it or replace it, what is the problem.. you will have exactly what you asked for.0

A little abrupt but thanks for your response!
My problem is that I've spent £329 on a watch that doesn't do the basics. I don't want a replacement, I want a refund. I'm not the only one that has this problem. The more I look into it, the more it appears that many users have issues with the watch when used for running.0
