BBC Radio 2 Listen Again Page

Is anyone else having problems with this page?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainframe.shtml?http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio2_promo.shtml

Every time i start to listen to a show(for downloading and converting to Mp3 for my player) i get a quick "clicking noise" then no sound!! (btw..listen live is okay)

If i use this page to access the same programmes it works okay..

http://2blu.co.uk/radio2.php

Just curious.

I tend to download them and convert them to mp3 from rma I use a download manager HiDownload and then re encode them using Total Video Converter to play on car mp3 player

HiDownload...is that freeware? i thought it was shareware?..
    i use Net Transport myself...
    http://www.xi-soft.com/download.htm...
it has a nag screen asking you to buy the "pro" version..
    but it is freeware....

    i then use MediaCoder.....

    http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/dlfull.htm...
(freeware)to convert the *ra file to mp3....
(i HIGHLY recommend this software!!)... so much that i made a donation to the author!!

JimmyR on Youtube has a tutorial on MediaCoder....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7s3c1OZiHs ..... (btw his tutorials are great!!)

Poppycat...does the Radio 2 page work for you??

Btw ...if people want any BBC radio listen again programme in mp3 format to listen to on their mp3 player (and the above seems a bit to much)...pm me and i will see what i can do.

When you convert those ra files to mp3, don't you agree the sound quality is a bit iffy (just about ok for speech)? Even at 128kbps. I still record Radio (using my music center's built in timer) onto cassette tape to play in the car - CD like quality!

Until i started using MediaCoder to convert the ra files to mp3 i used Streambox Ripper...the quality was as you say "iffy" to say the least..lol

then i moved on to Jodix rm/ra to mp3 converter...i encoded at 128kbps and the encoded item sounded a bit "tinny"...since i started using MC the quality of its mp3 converting is excellent ...downloaded a radio show and encoded the same ra file with both Jodix and MC (at the same settings) put them both on to my mp3 player ...no contest MC wins hands down!!
