credit issue / mistake

hello!
so a bit of a long one i will try to make it short. went to buy the note 9 online from CPW with the extra £200 trade in but also signed up for a voda sim only for £15 a month to bring the phone down another £60 however i failed the credit check... i was very surprised to say the least. so after may calls with some real just idiots of humans on the voda end- 1 who even offered me a contract with them and not go back to CPW saying they prob made a mistake it turns out last year when my mum who has the same initials as me and was at the same address at the time went in for a contract they have used my name but her bank details, im guessing they just searched first initial and surname found me and used it? not to sure, she showed me her account on her phone and its all under my name but she is paying the bills.
anyone know what i should do because trying to tell them over the phone does not go well. not even fussed about the phone now i just want my credit report sorted and the fail removed if possible.

Ask your mum to correct the details on her mobile credit account
After that is completed, wait six weeks for the change to be reported on your credit file. Obviously check your files with the three main CRAs and advise them of any errors at that time.
