Everyone is asked to read up on this in the Newbies FAQ thread before posting
Go there now to get an understanding of the game you are now caught up in
If you then have further questions you need to start your own thread and not hijack someone else's like this
He's got his own thread but seems to be on a trail of asking questions about his own case on other posters' threads. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Woah there! I have only just seen this. So firstly, I APOLOGISE if anyone felt 'hijacked'. However my understanding of a hijack is when someone blatantly tries to get attention of those on another thread, to invite them to their own.
1. I did not do that, I have people advising me on my own, and that advice is often to go read OTHER threads. I did so. I found this one, and it was about the 5th example of a defence which seems to blur the lines between a keeper and a driver defence. I therefore posted HERE because the question is relevant HERE. Not to detract, hijack, or do anything more than further the discussion of THIS thread, and the defence being used. That's called normal forum discussion where I come from. Merely posting on another thread, when you have one of your own, is not hijacking.
2. One of the main reasons I felt inclined to post here, is because of yet another one liner I have read many times, in this case from Waamo: "You defend as keeper unless the identity of driver is known. It's the keeper they are chasing." That's the advice I followed (it's black and white) for many weeks. Until eventually being told that, even though the ID of the driver is not known in my case, I should actually defend as driver! So I posted here in case those involved with this thread made that same mistake.
I see blatant hijacking all the time (reading many threads), such as the one on mine today, which was a blatant scream for the attention of those kindly helping me in my case, to go elsewhere and even PM a user. I wasn't overly offended, but I can see why that is definitely not constructive and infuriating for those giving their time and knowledge. However I dont think what I did was remotely similar here.
That's my defence anyway. Witness statement will arrive in a few weeks.Combatting the pandemic of BWLegal-19, one 'notice of discontinuance' at a time. :-)0 -

However, asking questions to further your cause on someone else's thread has the potential to cause confusion.
And you clearly weren't expecting answers as it has taken you over a week to find the responses.0
