However, there's no need to be rude.
Indeed there is not.0 -

Which CRA is reporting the searches? Are they listed as searches relating to credit applications?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Atm it's just Equifax0 -
I would only worry if they are listed as credit applications. If they are listed as quotations or personal searches that means they are 'soft' searches and everything is cool...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

OP, so sorry for jumping onto your thread, but I didn't want to start a new one when it related to yours.
As I mentioned to OP then if these searches are "soft" searches (aka quotation searches) then you won't have anything to worry about. I'd take the time to check your reports from all 3 agencies and have a look. If they are indeed "hard" searches (aka credit applications) and are fraudulent, then you will need to contact the mobile companies directly, and I would also recommend you report them to the police and Action Fraud and obtain a reference number.0 -
I've had a few of these, I've given up reporting them to the CRAs (they do remove them if you ask) as they don't make a difference. I think they pop up when I log in to check my credit file so they must be 'mates' of the credit file site. I checked to see if I was eligible for a loan via the credit report web site (I wasn't going to take one out, I was just looking), the following month I had a soft search on my account from a loans company!! I wasn't happy.
Be careful with hard searches, you can report these to the credit file web site too and they will contact the company for you. If you notice a hard search from someone like a mobile phone company and you haven't taken out a contract you really should report it as 'this wasn't me'.0 -

The mobile phone companies won't always help, Data Protection and all of that.0 -
Thank for the help and advice. They're definitely credit applications, I have checked my file again. I'll check with the other CRA's too.
I'm unsure why I didn't think about it before now, but, my Husband has had identity fraud from 3 mobile phone companies - could it be related to that? (assuming they're with the same companies, once I've checked his paperwork)0 -

Sometimes, utilities companies carry soft searches after segmenting their market and before sending an offer. Other companies do ID checks if what you are trying to buy is regulated (for instance, nicotine- or alcohol-based products).
CheersYour cholesterol levels are not seen, or used, by your heart and arteries, so ignore it.

Cheers
These were Mobile Phone Companies and was in between Christmas and New Year last year. There shouldn't have been any searches, so would that still happen?
I've already got a mobile with 1 of them, yet the company searched me (twice) on two different days! (maybe different stores?)0
