Where are the camper van shows/fairs (Not the huge commercial ones like NEC)?

Hi all
I’m toying with the idea of converting a vehicle into a campervan. I would love to get out into the field (literally) and go to some shows/events/fairs where like minded people show off their handy work and discuss this topic etc. I’m pretty sure there is a community of like minded individuals around but it’s finding them. Naturally, I am aware of the huge commercial shows such as NEC but these are the opposite of what I want to visit. I would like to meet up with people with a passion for campervans and conversions etc not just a load of commercial entities. People who enjoy this stuff and it’s their hobby/passion etc.
Please does anybody have any suggestions?
