    Morning all

Looks like a nice bright day here I have a wash on the go and will hang it out after.

We had a lovely day yesterday we went on the vineyard tour where we were pulled around the vineyard on trailers pulled by a landrover it was really interesting and we stopped half way at a high point and all had a glass of fizz, once the tour had finished there was a shop with some reasonable wines and I may have bought one or two :D also we bought some beautiful local cheese, we then went to a pub and had a very nice lunch indeed with more wine and then home, it was a lovely day and a nice day to remember dad xx

Onto today I have a stream on trades coming in today first of all the fridge man is coming between 11.30 and 1.30 then the cleaner is coming for a meeting and a look round at 1.30 then the plumber at 3 !! The plumber is coming to check the work he needs to do to permanently fix the leek in the kitchen, if you remember he temp fixed it by cutting off the hot water to the kitchen ? we he need to come and get his bearings re fixing it properly next week its been too long without hot water and although I have been understanding I have had enough now and want my kitchen back to normal !!

TA hope you and Mr TA are as well as can be expected xx

    Have god days all xx

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to anyone who needs one. Thinking especially of the TA's today.

Well I ordered a coolbox through Halfords on saturday for delivery today, pay by paypal.......pay pal confirmed that they had the payment for the order waiting but nothing else, have phoned this morning, the order did not go through, so have had to reorder. They are hoping to deliver tomorrow. I need it for when the new FF arrives, I want to empty whats left in the freezer compartment into it. Hey ho.....

OH is doing ok, he has woken this morning with a sore back, typical, so painkillers and cream on the affected area, am going to walk him round the close shortly.

Its not a nice morning, very cloudy and hardly any wind, have towels in the washer, think they may well end up in the dryer.

Cut the rest of the lamb off the bone, there is enough for another roast dinner tonight, have got beef stew out for tomorrow.

CA has been we were late waking up, but did manage to get breakfast before she arrived, the head honcho is coming to see me this morning around lunchtime and the cleaners are due as is a friend to see OH. So its going to be a busy day.

Spent most of the morning yesterday finding the documents DS needs for his remortgage interview, then the afternoon shredding all the carp I found along the way. Then spent quite some time trying to unblock it after some papers bent and it jammed. When I first switched it on it made an awful noise due to the 5 p that had found its way in while it's been in the loft :(,so I think that damaged it and now its boogered. DH hasnt got a skip at work at the mo so it'll have to hang around till then.

DH rang at 5.30 to let me know the'd be late home.Sadly tea was already cooking. I plated them up and pinged them when they got back.As it was 8.30 when they did get back,DS tuna steak was def past it's best  and he wouldnt eat it & made a cheese sandwich instead.I put it in the fridge in case it'd do for me at lunchtime but its like a rock.I hate throwing stuff away!

I didnt sleep well last night,Ly1a was 'wuffing' ( not her full blown hound of the Baskervilles barking, but the little noise that means she wants attention ) at 12 so I went down and she was lying on the rug instead of ' her' sofa.

She got back on when I sat down and I couldn't see or hear anything untoward so went back up & couldnt get back to sleep for ages .DS1 reckons she sleepwalks off then wakes not knowing where she is :D .I think I'll have a pottering day & sort out the mountain of dried clothes.

Weather is a bit brighter today, little bits of blue in between the clouds.

Hope you all have a good day xx

I have done very little for the past 2 days as I seem to have some sort of viral infection with a raised temperature. I go to see the Oncologist today to start some treatment. Not sure if that will have to be delayed as it drops the white cell count and might not be a good idea whilst still not well. We will see.
Sounds like you are having a lovely Holiday JackieO.

Thanks for the thread Holly and hugs to all those in need.

I dropped CHS at work at 7, waited for the Dr's to open at 8 to collect a prescription, then waited for the Chemist to open at 9, finally got back to the boat at 10:30.

I went into the charity shop for a mooch and found 2 small Le Creuset pots £1 each so I grabbed them, they will sit on the log burner nicely.

A bit of housework will be done, but not much, my get up and go has snuck off somewhere so I have little energy or enthusiasm.

    Have a good day everyone
    Hugs Hester

DH has just dropped a big tub of apples off from the house where he is working, the client said to take as many as he wants as they're not living there while the job is going on.Eaters and bakers but the eaters are definitely on the 'sharp' side:eek: :rotfl:Guess what I'm doing this afternoon :D Good job I have my new small chest freezer.I'll do some apple sauce for Christmas, and pie and crumble.I'll make one for the clients too as a thank you. There are a few blackberries across the road, might go and nab a few of those too for variety.

The blue sky hasnt really materialised,it's dull and warm.
Sorry you aren't feeling well Poppy xx

  • Thanks to Holly for starting us off.
Gentle (((Hugs))) to everyone especially the TAs & poppy

It is a gloriously hot sunny day. A hive of activity here - DH & I moved the bed & other furniture downstairs ready for CS collection tomorrow. Now have space in the spare room :T DH has mowed ours & next door’s front lawns & is now doing a bit of carpentry (finishing off the collapsible table for the shed) :rotfl: DSis is currently ‘treating’ the tall fence panels in the back garden & has already washed her bedding which is drying on the whirligig. She also painted the ceiling beams in the shed this morning.

I on the other hand have done a bit of washing up, made lunch & kept the ‘workers’ in drinks & I am now off to have a bath after putting a load into wm.

Hope everyone enjoys the ready of their day.
