Sheltered Housing Whilst Owning HOUSE .

We bought a house with my ex as we needed to be near our daughter And had nowhere near enough to buy a house on our own in her area .3 Joint tenant owners then , but it's not working .Both my other half and me have had a myriad of health problems ,and
need to be in sheltered housing .
We aren't going to ask my ex to move until he's ready to sell ,is it relevant that the sheltered housing will be our prime residence .?

It could well be relevant yes. If you have tied up a lot of money into the property then you may not be eligible for sheltered housing above someone who has very little or does not own another home. It really depends on the demands for such housing in the area. You would likely come into issues if you attempted to claim benefits to pay for the housing costs.

You'd have to ask that particular sheltered housing project.
