PCN Tower Road Newquay. Not owner

Hi,

The owner of the car I borrowed and got temporarily insured on has received a PCN from Parking Eye at Tower Road Newquay.

I paid for the car park but like the fool I was I threw the parking ticket away.

I think I paid for at least 2 Hours maybe for 3. But we didn't pay for parking for when we immediately entered the car park as we were finding a space which took quite a while. Then we arrived back to the car in time but didn't leave the car park in time as I was messing around too long. I also would prefer not to involve the owner of the car. Sorry if this has already been answered before. I have trawled through many posts but none quite like mine.

Anyway thanks for looking!

if the owner doesnt want to deal with it , they can name the driver and then the driver will get a pcn in their own name and can appeal it if they wish

the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread gives advice on appealing it etc, sounds like GRACE PERIODS are involved here , where driving round looking for a space is not "parking"

ivor pecheque got a similar one at fistral beach about 4 or 5 years ago, which went to court and they won in court for similar reasons , see the details on parking pranksters blogsite , plus the transcript is on his website too
  • So I have to get the owner to name me as the driver and then I will get a PCN that I then deal with?

    Cheers for the quick reply!

You don't have to, the registered keeper could appeal it (and it would be better - and WILL WIN - if they did, IF the back of the PCN does NOT have a paragraph about the POFA 2012).

    Does it?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
