I have recently come across some old (2004) bank statements on which is stated a regular monthly payment to a company called
'PPL XI LTD' there is a reference number with it but this is a company I do not recognise.
an internet search was unhelpful offering multiple music companies.

does anyone recognise what this could be or advise how I can find out who it is?

any information greatly appreciated

If you are thinking PPI then no it isnt.

Its the initials of a limited company. The Roman numerals are a common accounts method to differentiate it from other companies of a similar name.

PPL the company is not PPI the insurance! :)
  • thanks for your responces

so i'm looking at PPL LTD with XI to separate it from anything similar in name?
it's definitely PPL in the name, not PPI as it is quite clear.
still getting search results of something to do with music.

anything else that could help me narrow this down?

There is no PPL XI Ltd. I looked. So, it's going to be something with the initials P.P.L and then XI Ltd.

Depending on the sums it could be something like an insurance policy, extended warranty or that sort of thing, why not check email history etc? If you have the sort code/account numbers you might be able to find the firm online

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Perhaps it was a music download subscription of some kind?

Fully 14 years on, what do you hope to achieve if you do manage to identify this payment arrangement?

Looks to have been some sort of computer business. Goodness knows whether it is the OP's PPL.
