Hi all,

stupid question on my part but I noticed with the credit club that below the income field it says e.g Bonus, Pension etc

Normally I've included my base wage and estimated bonus, however the mention of pension confused me, could I include my pension match figures here or does this actually mean a state pension?

For all banks, do you include base rate and bonus or is it only when specifically mentioned?

Another question is around dependants, for example, my wife doesn't earn money but supports herself with savings, is she a dependent I should list?

Thank you,

Nick

  • The income etc. is used for for MSE to asses your worthiness towards a card or loan etc. in their calculator.

It's not used as part of the verification process - so put whatever you think is correct

I'm aware it's not verification but it's a factor in what I'd be offered. If I knew what was correct there wouldn't be much point in the thread? It's exactly why I'm asking the questions

Put whatever you would put on CC application forms. Pension, is pension received, not pension contributions. So people retired who don't work but have pension income are not excluded.

They put dependants/income etc because in future they will look at mortgages. For credit cards & loans it's more about your affordability - some credit cards have minimum income thresholds.
