Paypal payment notification emails delayed

Hi all,

Since about 11:30am today, I have not been receiving paypal email notifications for payments - I use these emails to dispatch my items so this is a pain. It happens every few months.

I can see the payments in paypal and my items all require instant payment so I know people have paid, its just the payment emails aren't arriving...

Anyone else seeing the same?

Thank,

Gary.

It's probably yet another ebay/paypal glitch, there are so many now it's hard to keep track.

Currently I keep reverting to ebay .com even half way through doing something and have to re start on ebay UK over and over again. They are probably tinkering again.

  • Just out of curiosity, why do you use these PayPal emails like that?

  • They seem to be dribbling through finally.

brian - it makes for an easy process - i have a rule in gmail that "stars" emails in the format of paypal's "payment received" email, and once i dispatch i un-star it. It makes it really easy to see what is yet to be dispatched.

You can of course use ebay "mark as dispatched" to see what needs to be sent but then the address isnt the right one so you have to look it up in paypal.

It seems to work well for us, we only dispatch up to about 20 or 30 items max in one day, and I know that email isnt guaranteed (as proven again today) but its simple and (mostly) works.

Having said that, if there is a better way i'd be interested to hear!! There is probably something integrated we could do with a printer but I often dispatch recent sales from my car so looking at emails on my phone and removing the star/flag and writing on a jiffy bag might seem basic but it works !!

    Thanks.

Use click and drop as the addresses all migrate there for you and you just add the postage and print off the label. With 20- 30 items a day you could even use click and drop via a business account as I do and get the prices VAT free.

Interesting. You know that the checkout address updates in selling manager or selling manager pro, and indeed in the new Manage Orders screen in eBay, so you'll only ever see the wrong address in there if you look in orders awaiting payment?
