Hi I've had a call about a ppi repayment the cheque will be sent in the post in 2/3 days but he said the bank will charge to put the cheque in so my payment will go from over £1000 to £200/£300 unless I have life insurance. I've given no details of my bank details only address and dob. I have alarm bells ringing but I have used a company to check my ppi. I can't call the number back either

It's a scam.
Ignore any such calls and certainly don't ever attempt to return calls.0 -
That is a known scam.
A variation of advance fee fraud. If you can find out the name of the company, you should report it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
