Humour me please - solicitors question

Before exchange of contracts a solicitor would double check everything has been dealt with, in your case they have seen the building regs query was outstanding and are chasing it up. Once they receive the response they can revert back to you, and probably your mortgage co, with the answer and either everything will be ok and exchange date can be arranged or if it's not ok they will discuss it with you and advise what can be done to satisfy you and your mortgage company.

The query should have been addressed or at least raised 5 weeks ago when you first asked about it, TamsinC. It sounds as if the kick up the rear is exactly what was needed. It could be you have some wet-behind-the-ears, newly (barely?) qualified little twerp who has allowed the fact it has letters after its name to give it an inflated idea of its own importance when, in fact, basic communication seems beyond it. Comes to something when you have to tell a solicitor how to do his/her job, doesn't it? Takes me right back to the day we exchanged on this place. I spent hours on the phone just trying to get two so-called solicitors to actually speak to each other, fgs!
