ParkingEye Ticket USA address

After reading many threads on ParkingEye and Equita, I can't find a definitive answer so I would like to ask this Forum.
I received a parking ticket while in England on holiday.
My US address was given to PE by my car rental company for which car rental company charged me a 42 GBR admin fee.
I was soon being sent letters by ParkingEye and ignored them, now received a letter from Equita.
My sense from all posts is that PE has no way to collect this from me.
Can someone confirm.
I'm happy to keep ignoring the letters, but want to make sure it doesn't come back round to bite me!
Thanks for your help!

Keep ignoring. While there is an extradition treaty between the two countries, I don't think you've anything to worry about. :rotfl:

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The County Court has no jurisdiction in the USA. Even if it did I doubt they would fly over to try and attempt to enforce the debt.

If you really want to do something you could write and ask them which court you would be appearing in as you are US based.

what are the terms for the car rental?
You should be looking at getting that admin fee back, and above all stopping the rental firm from partying parking eye, and then charging you

Equita are only a debt collection arm of PE

PE tend to use them when they know they have no chance
    It's a "chancer" letter

Get Donald to ban PE from the states for spreading fake news

They cannot take you to court in the UK and as they only
have powers to issue tickets and harass people, rest assured
you are free to come and go as you please

Apologies for this upset from the UK's biggest parking cowbody

    Check your retnal T&C
Do they state they can charge you £42 for sending details of renters for PRIVATE PARKING notices, or the more usual "fines and penalties"?
Formally, a private parking notice is NOT a fine and is NOT a Penalty.

So, check your retnal T&C. POst here if you need to. You shouod complain and get hat back, if its not in the t and c, and if they dont just refund, do a chargeback.
  • Great news......you're in line for a circa £250 [$300!!] payout from the hireco as they have no authority to either release your information or charge you for the pleasure of doing so!!!

It'll just take a few emails and they'll pay up....

There are many threads that deal with overseas addresses completely - why not read them instead?

Also, Equita are fully covered by post four of the Newbies Sticky - which is the first thread you read here.
