Average 1 bed electricity bill 2018
Hey guys,
I am a FTB and my 1 bed flat will be all electric. I have obviously budgeted for electric already but am just interested to know how much you guys pay? It is EPC E.
I also work every day from around 7.30am to 6pm but do a half day on a Monday. I am generally out at least 1 day of the weekend if not both.
TIA

What sort of electric heating? Single rate, or E7 with NSH's and an immersion heater?
Single rate with convectors will be expensive, E7 much less so.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
It is Eco70

EPC E suggests a not particularly well insulated property.
£1000 - £1200 ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
It is a 1 bed top floor flat I've been quoted around £30 a month, just interested to find out what people are paying when in a one bed flat 0

The question marks are meant to be smiley faces- not used to this site yet haha0

£30/month would be mightily optimistic.... I'd suggest you budget for £60 and tot it up each week/month to calculate how much you're actually using.0

We are in a 2 bed flat with pre-pay meter, (on demand hot water and CH is gas), elec shower. Obviously the weekends/evenings we use a higher amount but so far it is working out to approx £1.20 a day. Which has quite surprised us.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Refer to that EPC.
It will tell you how much you will typically use, if not in £ in kWh. In which case put those figures into any comparison site and you will see the whole range of cost depending on which supplier & tariff you eventually choose.0 -
