If you don't want or can't afford a high end coffee machine, what alternatives for great tasting strong coffee are there?

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

We are a family that decided that decent strong coffee was our non negotiable when our income fell. We've had only one holiday in 10 years but we have a traditional plumbed in 1 group, a french press for backup and an aeropress for camping. We did have to use the aeropress for a week and it was fine even for coffee snobs like us!0

aeropress is actually a lot less of a 'faff' than a french press as there is no 'clean up' involving coffee grounds after use - you simple eject a neat 'puck' of used coffee grounds into any handy bin - i have one at work and avoids clogging the company sink with french press grounds!
i can also recommend the porlex hand grinder as far cheaper than an electric grinder https://www.hasbean.co.uk/collections/porlex/products/porlex-tall-hand-grinder0 -
Just drink an instant coffee, dude. Way easy and less cost, if I may say. LOL0
