PPI with ex

Hello all
I have had a look through previous posts but I cannot find anything similar to my situation so here's my question:
I have started to look at claiming PPI back and after filling all ALL the fields in the Santander form, they require bank details in the event of a refund.
My ex and I are still in talking terms and he is aware I have started the claim but since our mortgage was a joint one, Santander requires a joint bank account for the refund. We do not have one any more... What can i do to overcome this?
Surely if I put only my account details they will see that it's not in both names (or it will not go through to my bank)?
Any ideas/suggestions?
TIA

Ask them. They will probably split the refund and send to two separate accounts.0

Most mortgage PPI complaints don't succeed. Just because the standard complaint form asks for some bank details doesn't mean you're going to get any money.0 -
They'll split the cash and ask for his details.
As above though, most MPPI complaints fail as it's a valuable insurance that can save your home. Moreover, did you actually have a policy with Santander or through a provider like Cardiff Pinnacle? Did Santander actually sell you it? If you bought from say an IFA and just have the mortgage with Santander and they weren't involved in the selling then they won't have liability and will reject it.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Fair enough if it doesn!!!8217;t get approved, but their online form requires the bank account details otherwise I will not be able to submit it.
The PPI was sold to us when we took the mortgage with alliance & Leicester directly with the bank (if the paperwork held a different company name other than A&L I cannot be sure as this is for a mortgage we took in 2006 and it has since been paid off).
I!!!8217;m not sure if it makes any difference but Santander provided me with the PPI account numbers, but I!!!8217;m not sure if this means it was direct via the bank or through a provider.
Anyhow, I!!!8217;ll give it a go anyway, worst case I get nothing.0 -
Ask for separate cheques to be issued. Problem solved for both of you.0
