CCJ sent to old address

I've just checked my noddle credit report today and found a CCJ from May 2018 for £348 registered to an old address that I haven't lived at for a year. I have no idea what it's for and don't have much in the way of credit so I'm really confused. How do I go about finding what it's for and fixing this? I can afford to pay it off and would have done so if I'd known about it, not that that helps much after the fact.

Hi,
You should do a search at https://www.trustonline.org.uk/ to see the details of the CCJ and then take it from there.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

It!!!8217;s down to you to update creditors when you move
Contact the court and ask what it!!!8217;s for0 -
You can google the County Court Business Centre for a phone number. Call and find out from them, you will also get the name of the creditor or DMC that requested the CCJ.
CCJ's and the summons (claims form) can be served to the last known address, so the fact that it's an old address is irrelevant unless you can show that they knew of your updated address before the CCJ was granted.0 -
Trustonline doesn't have any more detail than is on your credit report, as you've found out.
Yes you can phone the court but you may find they don't answer.
What I would do is email them for the full particulars of claim - that is difficult to take in by listening to them anyway. An email response can take a couple of weeks
Having said that, I think they've changed their email address. This is what is now on their website

Usual culprit is a water authority0 -
Ok so call/email the court to find out what it is and then see if I can get it set aside. Thankyou everyone0

You'll need good grounds to do so.0 -
Unless you genuinely owe it.
In which case pay it0
