E-on continue to send bills - I'm no longer with them!!

I changed my energy provider months ago but E-on are in denial and continue to harass me. I've phoned them on numerous occasions and even contacted the national grid just to double check the date my new provider began. This has been going on for months and the latest thing is I received a new E-on bill for over £200. It's like banging my head against a brick wall!
Has anyone had the same experience? - I don't know what to do and am now worried about debt collectors and black listing etc. I would appreciate some advice.

    Don't phone - don't email.

Snail mail and head your letter COMPLAINT. Stick to facts customer numbers, dates
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Hi Robin9 - thanks for your advice. Just wondering why you say snail mail instead of email? I was thinking that with an email you have proof of contact.

    Good morning Himba Diane,

There a few things you can check.

Have you received your final bill from us? Is the latest bill saying final bill at the top?

Do the meter reads match? Have we closed your account to the same reads that your new supplier has opened their account from?

Have both fuels changed supplier correctly?

I'm sorry about all of the questions, but it's worth checking first. Then please do speak to us, however you contact us we have to raise a complaint and follow this procedure if you let us know you want a complaint raising.

We will look in to what the bill is for and explain this to you.

I hope it's sorted out quickly for you.
