**sigh** what happened to the good postmen?

the Wii gloves were properly addressed to me, but in fairness my neighbour is an old man who isnt the full shilling anymore so I doubt he would have noticed the address and name anyway.
But I agree it is worrying. I hadnt seen this particular postie before, Im assuming my usual man is on holiday. Its something Im going to be keeping a very close eye on. In my case no harm was done and I dont feel it worth kicking up a stink about, if the other residents have had problems then its they that should complain.
personally i think you should at least contact the local delivery office.
if its a 1st time mistake then his manager will do no more than have a chat with him and stress the importance of taking care on delivery0 -
Well, I have to say that I've had some brilliant postmen round here. Very friendly and never a mistake, even if there were they even apologise to you if you mention it in passing.
However, we've had some right idiots as well. I've frequently had my mail left hanging out of the slot. So, all my bank/cred card statements as well as replacement cards left for all those lucky ID fraudsters out there.
Complained at the local dept manager a few times. Same response, nothing happens though.
So, it does seem more about the individual postman/woman as the managers don't seem to have much control outside of that.
Like in any business, good people and muppets.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
