That was quick work! Good effort, hope you win!

Take a copy of it all with you on the hearing day and aim to get there half an hour early to get through security/sign in, have some water and relax, be ready to bat away the legal rep for the Claimant who 'wants a quiet word/wants you to settle...!'

Also take a wage slip and proof of travel (or work out mileage as per your costs schedule) to claim your costs if you win, before you leave the room, if you don't ask, most Judges will not prompt you, and no doubt you will have missed a day's leave or salary, and spent money on getting to the court.

If you want to prepare well for the hearing, search this forum for:

    another one bites the dust

...and read all the successes, and court reports of what it was like.

    And another bites the dust!

I won the hearing and got costs awarded.

Gladstones didn't turn up but didn't indicate prior if they would or not. Judge was not happy with that for a starters and was inclined to strike the case out.

However, he 'loosley' advised that we proceed with the hearing based on all evidence submitted as that would be more definitive and UKCPM would have less grounds to appeal a judgement in oppose to a striking out.

Anyway, Judged ruled that no contract could have been formed on the basis that there was insufficent signage. Ironically the signage provided by Gladstones doesn't even match the current signage at the location in question.

Glastones WS didn't stated how long I was stopped for which helped.

    Thanks again for the help.

Yay, well done! A very nice rescue, I bet the Judge was happier with your evidence and your attendance, than with the other side!

    Which Judge and Court?

And which site location is this, where they couldn't show true signage evidence?

    :D

Well I was incorrectly sent to the wrong court. I was sent a letter stating the hearing was at City Mayors Court (Guildenhall) when it was actually Central London County Court (The Strand). (managed to get the extra travel costs back in my claim)

Had to hot foot it across town, however as it was an admin error there was no issue.

Can't remember the name of the Judge. I will get a hearing summary in the post at some point and will send it through then. Nice gentleman and gave good off the record advice, knowing I would win anyway.

The site location was Pulse Residential Estate, Harvey Close, NW9 (Colindale).

Didn't even have to talk about the new markings at the location.

When you say you got your costs, do you mean the pittance the law allows, or costs for their unreasonable behaviour?  If only the former read this, and consider wasting their time, it costs you nothing, and you have up to six years to take action, (if you are so mindful)..
