Can anyone tell me whether the alternative energy suppliers (to Br. Gas) send bills by post? I can't find any info indicating which ones issue bills by post as opposed to email.
Any bills sent by email would most often get lost in the plethora of junk email we receive at the moment.

When you submit your readings online every month you could always check what bills have been sent.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

And this is why we have junk mail filters/rules on most email accounts. Find the email address they'll be coming from, make a new folder on the account and set up a rule to move emails from Energy Company X to this new folder upon arrival. Simples.
Most companies probably charge now to send it by post, so if you really want a paper based copy you can print it out manually, surely?0 -
No suppliers send bills by email, as it's not secure. With online billing, you will receive an email to tell you that a new bill or statement is ready, you then log into your online account and download it. As long as you ensure their email address is added to your whitelist, it won't go to your spam folder.
Plenty of suppliers offer paper billing, but often at extra cost. If you check on CEC, it's made perfectly clear what billing options each tariff offers. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

There are a number of suppliers that send their customers bills via email, including one of MSEers favorites, Zog Energy.
Perhaps you should start a thread warning all Zog customers of this insecurity?
Ebico are another supplier I know do this (where the customer has not requested the alternative of bills by post as indicated to be available by smudger1964), although they alos post it to the onmline account. Zog do not offer customers any online account access.
There are others too that send bills/statements by email (not just an email that says one is available via their online account).0 -
Zog send a statement with a bill as a pdf which opens without logging on.0

What you are looking for is a supplier & tariff that allows for paper billing.
As an example, Energylinx clearly identifies against each supplier/tariff if paper billing is available.0 -
