Im fine with all that but not paying more than the law states we have to. Cheers.
Hmm paying £50k in taxes, doesn't use an accountant.

I have an accountant but i cant go asking him small Qs all the time, i might get a higher bill. What are you doubting ? whats the issue?
I also give tons of decent value free stuff to charity btw, all the time, others would likely sell it. What do you contribute eh? give us a full run down of what you do for society.0 -

My point was if you are paying £50k in tax; get an accountant; and since you have one; why aren't you using the service you're paying for. It's their job to save you outgoings such as tax.
It's like having a dog and barking yourself....

I don't know many people who earn more than 100k through investments etc and not have an accountant for this kind of thing (and I know several people earning around that figure)0 -

Recently I asked my accountant for a decent quote because the work is very little. My account quote for the year is like £450 for me and the mrs total. We do most of the book keeping.
I really dont want to go asking him stuff all the time and give him excuse to charge more. Most of the tax this year is capital gains. I dont earn like 250k a year all the time or something.
So you imagine when you've bought a house with most of capital gains you still have to watch budget for other bills like accountant.
Also forums are great, you can sometimes get better answers vs professionals.0
