Hi,
I have a leak in my loft caused by rainwater getting in through the soil stack vent that goes up through the roof. Water drips down the side of the pipe and onto the loft boards.
I've been quoted £100 labour + plus the cost of a weather skirt and collar to go around the pipe.
I assume the cost of the collar and skirt to be less than £50.
Does the above sound ok?

Make sure you get the full cost of the job. I've no idea what the cost of the skirt and collar is, just get it included in the quote. I can't see why they haven't given you the cost already.
£100 seems reasonable for labour which will involve working at height, I presume you have a two storey house?Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
Thanks.
Yes it is a two storey house.
He says he will bring me the receipt for what he paid for the collar and skirt.0
