I hope you're asleep Holly but I'm afraid your internet is playing up again.

Nelski, I wouldn't eat something horrid either, my mother-in-law used to force all sorts of things down so as not to waste it (wartime holdover). Mind you we might well be back to that if we crash out of the EU without a deal.

We went to three shows at the Festival yesterday and enjoyed them all, today we have three more and then home tomorrow. Our friends are leaving today though. The sun is shining brightly so I hope it lasts.

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Well that was a 24 hours........I ended up going in to collect OH, he was still waiting at 2.30pm. Collecting him was a farce.

He ate his supper and went to bed just after 7pm, apart from about an hour when he was reading he slept the night through. The lady came to do his assessment and the helper arrived at the same time to shower him and get him dressed. Whilst the assessor was here he had one of his vacant moments........eyes open, no one in.......did not last long. I have help free for a month and then if the help continues (which it will) we will have to provide a statement of incomings etc and we will see how much we have to pay. He has gone back to bed for an hour or so, will get him up for his lunch, then he can go back for a nap. He is very weak and unsteady on his feet. We are getting a couple more aids for him.

One night back and I am shattered. Will have to try and rest when he is in bed. Very disturbed sleep pattern just now, hope it improves.

Dull and wet, it was raining when I got up at 5am to go to the loo, managed another couple of hours sleep, before I got up to give OH his breakfast and get ready for the callers. I rang for the Dr to come and see OH and also cancelled his dentist appointment. So phone calls etc up to date.

No idea whats for supper tonight. OH is not eating very well, so small portions for him just now.

Csarina would you be able to speak to your gp when you take OHs discharge letter round to the surgery? Maybe a home visit would be in order... ;)

Letter goes by electronic mail to the Dr. Phoned this morning and asked for a visit, so expecting someone later this morning.
  • Dr has been, she is happy with OH's condition, so its up to him now, I do my bit by keeping him warm and fed etc, the rest is up to him.

After lunch we both went to bed and I did sleep for a couple of hours, supper prepped, Was asked for fish, so baked cod with new spuds and peas. I have a raspberry trifle for OH I will have a fresh peach,

That sounds promising g Deleted_User, your support has been quick off the mark.

I have one fewer teeth than I had at the start of the day. Still quite numb, was an easier extraction than I'd feared. Have been trying g to have a cup of tea. I had washing to do anyway so it doesn't matter about my top......
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Csarina - two weeks ago I wouldn't have been surprised if my DM died, today she changed her bed linen, washed piles of dirty dishes, washed the bed linen and sat up most of the day. It's amazing what food, sleep and physio can do. Hope it's the same for your OH.

I'm back with DM tonight. She's got the first home physio session tomorrow morning. Her cleaner didn't come this morning as she had D&V, hence the dish washing and bed changing etc. We've had takeaway fish and chips (no fish for me) which was lovely.

AOD - pesky tooth gone, good. Hope you feel better soon.

    Right, off to watch Vera.

    Morning everyone

It feels a bit warmer this morning than it did yesterday. I really noticed the sudden drop in temperature.

The forecast is for dry weather today, so as the laundry bin is full I will put a load in the washing machine in a minute and hopefully get it dry on the line.

Dinner today will be a portion of beef goulash I liberated from the bottom of the freezer yesterday evening when I was looking for something else. I thought that the freezer inventory was up to date but unfortunately not.

I will go and get the few fresh bits and pieces I need from the supermarket early this morning before it gets too busy. Fortunately I don’t need much.

    JackieO have a good holiday.

    Thinking of the TA’s xx

AOD I hope that your mouth isn’t too sore.

I hope that you all have a good day.
