Less than zero, I'd have a thought.

The tour operator, airline, whatever is not in breach of contract because your party was 'unable' to travel. Neither they nor Barclaycard have any liability. You could all have been hospitalised with some deadly disease and they would still have no liability. That's why people take out travel insurance. No idea whether that would cover a panic attack.

I suspect my travel insurance would not cover such a circumstance under mental health exclusions. My travel insurance is underwritten by Aviva through HSBC (other banks use Aviva, and I’d consider it likely that other insurers will include similar exclusions)

Ryanair did their job and reserved adequate seating, the hotel did their part and reserved a room they likely couldn’t re-let at such short notice, so S75 coverage wouldn’t come into this as there is no breach of contract.

    It was through ebookers/Ryan air
Just to add to the point made in previous posts, booking through an intermediary such as ebookers immediately negates most Section 75 rights anyway, by virtue of breaking the all-important debtor/creditor/supplier chain. Once ebookers have fulfilled their part of the arrangement by making the bookings on your behalf with airlines, hotels, etc, then any issues or faults with those actual service providers fall outside of s75 coverage, i.e. if the airline goes bust or the hotel burns down or whatever, your card company has no liability, because their relationship was only with ebookers....
