Hi all,
I'm in the market for my bathroom wash hand basin tap and perhaps a kitchen tap.
Is Victoria Plumbing a good website for these? Where else shall I check?
What has your experience been with waterfall taps if you have them?
Thanks.

Don't bother with waterfall taps. They're a nice novelty the first few times you use them, then they're unnecessarily ornamental. Don't cheap out on taps. Better quality ones will last a lot longer without playing up.0

+1 for don't bother with waterfall taps, particularly on handbasin. Daughter has them in her new house, they're rubbish, end up with water all over the floor!!
Go for carbide disc taps rather than traditional rubber washer type.0 -
I have been looking round for bathroom taps too.
Best thing to do is search a few websites for what you like and hen put the name of the tap in search to find best prices.
It has taken me ages trawling for best price but I think the plumbers merchants are generally cheaper than a lot of the "showroom" sites.
I too wouldn't touch waterfall taps as I live in a hard water area.
Be careful if you order online as it is hard to suss out just how tall some of the taps are and how far they stick out. Much better if you can see them in the flesh first.0 -
Don't scrimp on taps, go quality e.g Grohe. What you save on a cheap tap will cost you when you need to buy a new one and get a plumber in to re-fit! Waterfall taps are a bad idea in a hard water area, they'll be a nightmare to maintain0

Thanks. Everyone who's had a waterfall tap says not to buy one so I won't.
Shall check the plumber's merchant as suggested. Any ones come to mind?0 -
Are you literally just buying taps?
Frankly, I'd trust any plumbers merchant as long as you get on with the person behind the counter. You can just google for ones close to you.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Are Screwfix, Toolstation, Wickes good for taps?
This is the style of all the taps but the bathroom tap is hidden by a shower curtain so I'm open to getting another style as it'sonly the bathroom wash hand basin I need to replace. https://www.bathroomtakeaway.co.uk/tranquil-mono-basin-mixer-tap.html 10yr gt
https://www.screwfix.com/p/swirl-bathroom-basin-mono-mixer-tap-with-pop-up-waste/47868 2yr gt
but I prefer https://www.screwfix.com/p/watersmith-heritage-wye-basin-mono-mixer-tap-with-clicker-waste/3379p 10yr gt

You already have a thread running and you've posted on virtually every thread that mentions taps in the last month. There's no need - the same people are going to read the posts.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
