Pay credit card balance after the statement received or every week or after significant expenditure?

The idea is that you can responsibly handle credit. Getting a card "for emergencies" and sticking it unused in a drawer does not tell potential creditors whether you able to maintain credit, that is pay installments on time, paying at least minimum required, not defaulting etc. Using a credit card and paying it off the same week could flag up financial liquidity risks in that you are unable to keep money in your bank account to pay at statement date. Many people work this way, get a weekly income, pay all the bills and know whatever's left can be used for shopping etc. A minor factor that would not be a risk for some providers, but would be for others. Some people can never save, they never miss a bill, but there is always something their money is needed for.No one yet has explained why showing balance and not showing payment amount is seen positively by lenders. You can have £0 balance and £0 statement amount, but £800 payment amount in every month in all three years. So, what is special with a balance?0
