Popla unsuccesfull. Euro car parks. ANPR

Hi, help required as to what to expect next and what to do after my POPLA was unsuccesfull. The motorist entered the car park of a public house outside it’s business hours and was pictured on anpr cameras entering and leaving but at no time within a bay or any other parked position. The time between the photos was 37 minutes. In order authorise parking, vehicle reg needed to be entered into a console within the pub which was impossible due to it being closed. Business interests were not being protected at the time of vehicle entry. There were several different types of sign, differently worded, and the motorist took time to read and understand all of these.
The vehicle keeper was served with a postal PCN which was appealed immediately upon receipt and POPLA process commenced.
My only option (in popla’s and euro car parks eyes) is to pay £85 plus handling charge.
Should the motorist now await LBCC or take different action?

The PoPLA decision is not binding on the motorist, so all you can do now is wait to see if the PPC try court.
Debt collectors of course can be ignored, but not a LBC/MCOL from the PPC.

Search the forum for POPLA lost and relax, having read all the other threads of people happily ignoring such rubbish afterwards.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks. I appealed to popla on 4 grounds,
Signage (there are 5 differently worded signs on site)
Business closed so no access to console.
No business interest to protect at time of entering/leaving site.
    Grace periods.

After reading many cases on here I was surprised that popla didn’t find in my favour.
Ok I will wait until i get any letters and update on here.

    Thanks again.

Well grace periods was a non starter

What did they say about the signage? Just being different wouldn't necessarily help you.

Ignore debt collectors. We don't care about those at all.

Popla reckon the signs were conspicious, legible and intelligible and made no reference to the fact that there are a number of differently appearing signs.

  • Update:
Today the vehicle keeper recieved a letter from DRP debt recovery plus, demanding the increased amount of £145 to be paid by 02/10/18. If payment is not made, DRP will recommend their client to take court action against the vehicle keeper.
The vehicle keeper is considering ignoring this letter. Would that be wise?

As BPA members, Steve Clark of the BPA should put a stop
    to this DRP rubbish.

DRP is liable to be utterly ignored here too.

Yes, ignoring debt collectors is the way to go. Laugh at them & file (keep!) the letters.
