Freeview PVR Query

Just bought a Thomson Freeview PVR and am wondering about connections to tv.
The problem being that in out area we still have to source ITV3 and Channel 4 through analogue presumably the PVR will have the aerial plugged into it and then connect to the telly via scart. Whats the easeiest way to get the other channels into the telly.
Does the Thomson PVR allow for this or will i need some kind odaptor that allows me to split the signal at the wall and run one cable to the PVR and the other directly to the telly?

Can't comment on Thompson but i use a humax. Aerial is looped through so tv gets the same signal as PVR which splits and amplifies it internally. You will need a second aerial cable to connect the aerial output on the PVR to the TV aka an old fashioned video recorder. Only problem with this is signal is badly degraded if you switch off PVR. Also remember you can normally only record programs from the digital spectrum on the PVR0

Odd as it may seem, even though you can't get Channel 4, you may be able to get Channel 4+1 so you may be able to record C4 stuff
The comment about getting a worse signal when you turn the PVR off normally only applies if you turn it off at the mains rather than by the on/off switch on the PVR or it's remote0 -
I made this diagram of how I set up my PVR. I can watch TV as normal or switch by the remote to scart input to watch digital. You should be able to modify the cabling to suit your needs.
