IP camera with easy remote access?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an IP camera that I can simply hook up to a wifi network and remotely access it from an app on a phone without having to do any additional configuration such as port forward or access the router?
The scenario is that No1 daughter is moving into student accommodation and we are taking stuff over there next week - the room will be unoccupied for 6 weeks so it might give a small level of security. >6 weeks, I will then remove the camera and i'll find a use for it at home.
I do not have access to the router config at the student house but I do have the wifi password for when I get there so I can connect a device but not configure anything on the router.
I have a Foscam FI9826P but I think I need to port forward on the router for remote access so that is probably of no use to me in this situation.
Thanks in advance

Most IP cameras should allow you to simply access the available wifi network via password alone but bear in mind as it's a public network your camera wont be secure.
Thanks for the reply - It is not strictly a 'public' wifi network as its not university digs but a 5 bed student house with a typical domestic-style wifi router and broadband.
I am sure I can connect any camera to the wifi when I am at the house and physically present but my query is once I have set up the camera, moved all our stuff in to the room and left the student house, how do we access the camera for the next 6 weeks when 50 miles away at home (with no access to the configuration of this router at the student house, just the ability to connect to the wifi)

Arlo will work if you have an Ethernet port on the router to connect to, but this will let the household know you've connected it....
EDIT - Arlo community forum suggests that a WiFi extender plugged into the Arlo base station will work OK...

I would look at something along the lines of a Yale Smart Alarm, the system takes a picture when the PIR detects movement and sends the image to your phone.
The starter version (SR-310) is around £100 and provides a wireless alarm system, which maybe useful longer term than just a few weeks. Most of these systems are "full blown" house alarm systems, however the £100 basic one may be just the job.

I've just bought myself one of these:
https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XJ5CWB8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Easy to set up & even gives the option of cloud storage for a reasonable price (minimum 1 month).
No need for port forwarding to monitor it on my phone/tablet & even allows me to talk to the dogs in the room :-)0 -
There's a Motorola camera at Costco for about £60 that is a newer version of the one they used to sell and that worked well for me0

It might be better to not leave anything there which might be attractive to thieves or which isn't catastrophic if it disappears.
An IP camera might become a theft target in itself.0 -
at your home change your ssid and the p/w on the router to that of the student house, so you can do all the configuration and testing at home0

I recently got a couple of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YI-Home-Camera-720p-Wireless-Cloud-IP-Security-Surveillance-System-Cloud-Service/223101874348?epid=28017184306&hash=item33f1e870ac:g:WIMAAOSwkE9bSmx2
Simple to set up and they work with an app downloaded android or apple0
