No claims discount

I have ended my policy a month early am I still entitled to a years no claims discount. I had tried to change the insurance to my new car but the website wouldn't accept my new car so I had to cancel the policy.

Simple answer no, if you have not had a complete years insurance how can you expect a full years NCD?

You only get a full years NCD at the end of the policy (usually 12 months, some do 10 month policies).

I'd have just paid the last month so i could get it, but there we go.
  • Thank you all for your input. You are all correct. Thankfully Quote Me Happy have been generous and given me my full years NCD so this year's insurance will be cheaper. It is my third year so I don't know how much I will save. But having read MSE's info on cheaper insurance I have saved quite a bit by booking in advance.
