Copy files from old laptop to new laptop?

Can any of you techies tell me the easiest way to transfer files from my old laptgop to my ew one?

ps both systems are windows xp

    a crossover cable will connect the 2 together and make file transfer easy.

    or via a flash usb pen drive. you might have to reuse it a number of times depending on the size of your data.

    or use a wireless router. or a wired router with 2 straight cables.
    Get some gorm.

    Or if the old one has a CD or DVD writer you can burn the data to a disc.

    If you have a router you could set up a network and transfer the files that way.

    If you have one already and don't have vast amounts of data a USB Flash drive is probably the easiest.

    yes it really depends on the amount of data you have.
    for small amounts there are other options such as uploading to a host and then DL it to the new lappy.
    even emailing it! in 2mb chunks!
