HTB Management Fee

Hi everyone,

In process of redeeming HTB equity loan and had the RICS valuation today. Looking at the paperwork to complete and it references making sure you aren't in arrears.

Researched a bit and seems I should have been paying &1 a month management fee... has anybody else not paid this

I'm clearly going to ring them and pay the balance, but interested in how this was supposed to be paid as have never been chased for it.

FYI am under the 5 years so no interest payments yet. Thanks!

IIRC those applying for HTB before July(ish) of 2016 didn't have to pay the £1 a month fee. This was introduced and a DDM added to the PIF at that time.

We got our loan June 2017 - a month or two later I realised that the direct debit hadn't been set up.
I rang them to ask and they said the computer system wasn't up to date enough to set up the direct debit and not to worry.
I remember filling in the mandate form regarding it so I (probably wrongly) assume that when they've got it up and running they can take the direct debit!
