in Credit cards
Hi, so we are hoping to buy a campervan using my new credit card. Its a private deal so if i use paypal to pay the guy and then repay over my 0% on purchases term does that work? Im terrified of getting it wrong and ending up in debt

If your spending on your credit card then you WILL be in debt.....do you mean your terrified of being in debt with high interest rates?
You need a money transfer card, if the guy doesn't accept Paypal as payment method, then when the introductory period runs out (unless you have cleared the debt) then you have to balance transfer the rest and keep paying it down.
If he does accept PP as payment then it will go down as a cash transaction and you can balance transfer it to another card.0 -
if its a purchase through ebay or another website it should be classed as a purchase. You shouldn't get charged anything but the seller will be charged a few percent fee which is taken out of the payment.
If you however send a private payment through PayPal you may be charged a fee by PayPal and may be treated as a cash advance transaction by your card provider
best to speak to the card provider and get confirmation from them first. otherwise, money transfer as already said0
