    Morning All

I got up at 5, had a cup of tea and went back to bed. It's my last day off today so I'm allowed!

Had a lovely time at the baby afternoon, the little fella is so cute and content, lovely squidgy legs too! There was a fantastic buffet with lovely fresh veg and hummus but sadly I forgot that hummus is made from chick peas and they really don't like me, it's been a bit of an uncomfortable night!

snoozer - I find Waverley station very confusing too, I try to walk down to Haymarket for the return journey if I can, far less platforms!
Stick with it dumpling, we're all here behind you. Glad you enjoyed the wedding.
Enjoy your trip Speky, hope the sun shines for you.
    Thinking of the TAs.

I picked the last of the green beans from the allotment, need to see what I can do with them, they are a little past it for fresh eating, I'll maybe look for a soup recipe.

Have a Happy Monday, take care. XX

Good morning chums , a bright and pleasantly sunny day here at the moment in Kent gentle breeze and not too hot :) just my sort of day
Well I have my eldest DD coming at around 6 to pick up her anniversary present Her and her OH have been married 30 years today I bought her a lovely statue of a dancing couple in John Lewis I hope she enjoys it I loved it.
She hates anything with pearls on, but this is a silvery colour on a lovely stand.

Tomorrow is my youngest DDs anniversary for her second marriage but hers is only 20 years ,so I bought her a set of 8 matching dinner plates from John Lewis, as she says she's never had a set that matched :) mostly odds and ends from CS's bless her :) so she will be a happy lady.

This morning I have to whizz up to book club and drop my book off and pick up this months one I shan't stay as I have lots to sort out for the boys for our forthcoming holiday this friday :):):)

Hope everyone has a good day and the poorlies and their carers fel a bit better

    Cheers chums

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Worried we have not heard from Mrs TA, I hope everything is ok.

OH still in hospital, I am not really expecting him home till later in the week, depends on how quick SS set up his plan. He was ok yesterday, walking better and much brighter since they moved him away from the wanderer. He has been moved into a different bay. I topped up his phone so he can ring me. Apparently there is another ward that has the infection, they are looking to move the patients into a bay on OH's ward. I will be glad to get him home and away from the infection.

Its a dull morning, looks very much like rain. At some point I need to go into Aldi to stock up with fruit. I have plenty in the freezers to keep us going food wise.

Someone is supposed to be ringing me regarding OH, tough if they ring whilst I am out. I forgot to put my phone on charge last night, so it was completely out this morning, good job it charges up quickly.

No plans for the day, will change the bed when I know OH is being discharged..........very little washing just now so a small load occasional is the way to go. I had to dry it in the dryer yesterday, it was raining.

I might treat myself to another curry for tonight.........

Forgot to wish Speky a good trip.

Gers tooth remains pesky. Antibiotics are working, if slower than I might have hoped given that they are a high dose, but although the swelling is coming down, the actual tooth remains painful. Dentist said that if this happened it woukd be a good indicateator that her suspicion of a crack was correct and tooth will have to be taken out later this week.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

I had a lovely weekend as we went to see dd and sil on Saturday , took an indoor picnic so they did not have to cater for us all and met and held the new baby! I brought the Moses stand, bedding for it and the rocking stand so DD could have baby safely downstairs and did not have to bend as she is recovering from a C section.

Yesterday was a morning trip to the cinema followed by lunch and middle dd is coming over tonight to take me for a meal and might be staying overnight. I feel as if my birthday has stretched over three days and it has been lovely to see everyone.

It is strange not to see Judi and I hope she is all right and can come back eventually. I am having a quiet day and will need to whizz around tomorrow and change bedding upstairs and clean the bathroom as DD's in laws are staying here for a couple of nights to see the new baby.

I have not had breakfast yet so might have an omelette and try to get back into healthier eating and hopefully losing some more weight.

Dumpling, you have been doing so much for your family and all your thoughts and focus have been on them so no wonder you have not been able to concentrate on yourself and your fitness, appearance etc. It is a paradox that you need to feel a bit better in and about yourself in order to make positive changes and not feel that you are somehow being selfish.

The presents sound lovely and so thoughtful.

The washing machine has been on and I am not sure if it would be sensible to hang it outside and let it have a couple of hours before lots of rain is due later. Just about to empty the dishwasher and reload as it is scary how crockery and glasses mount up when it is not just me here.

Positive thoughts to Mrs and Mr TA and hope things are getting a little better.

    Hugs to all

Dolly has been walked and is now at the groomers being pampered she has a blueberry facial and a deep sea mineral scrub massage which she really enjoys
I have a mental image of little Dolly sitting there with her head wrapped in a turban, a blueberry face mask thingy on her face, reading one of the celebrity gossip mags while one beautician does her nails, and another gives her a back massage. :D

Csarina-hope OH can get home soon xx

Dumpling I sympathise, I saw a very unflattering photo of me yesterday.Don't let it dishearten you from your efforts though when you're trying so hard xx

    Hugs to the TAs

Sorry to see Judi has deleted her account :(

We were out with friends on Saturday going to watch DGodson & band play.My Sis-i-l had just dropped us off and I managed to trip up over a loose block pavement & fell full length. I was saying bye to her,and the others had gone ahead but heard me yell, and some passers by came to see if I was ok.I'm a bit sore and cut my left hand and arm..DGodson was just walking by with the owner of the venue and she took me in and offered me the contents of their 1st aid box.DGS insisted on taking photos of the offending kerb and my injuries in case I wanted to make a claim! I felt such a fool, but everyone was very kind and kept coming up to me all night asking how I was.Apart from that it was a good night but I had to have several G&Ts to numb the pain :D I might add that up to me falling ,not a drop had touched my lips!

Beef olives for tea tonight, from my butchers pack. It's been rainng quite hard this morning, and last night, looks like it might be brightening up a bit now.Been out this morning to see oldAuntie up the road so might have a quick tidy round then take it easy for a bit.

Love & hugs to all xx

Hello all, I'm still about but having a busy time at the moment.

Today I have been helping Mr Fix It take out the front of our shed and rebuild it. There are a lot of power and hand tools in there, which need safeguarding from the elements ( and marauders :D ) and we would also find difficult to replace in the future . Tomorrow we attack the roof ready for the new one, that's if we can move because we are both aching from head to foot . This shed is turning out to be another Triggers broom :rotfl:.
Take care and sending hugs to all, especially Mr and Mrs TA.
    nan xx
