Roof riser / Skylift hardware

I am planning a covered area outside my kitchen door, connecting to the garage at one end and open at the other to avoid having to put a coat on each time I go out to the bins, etc. It would also provide some dry storage. I have seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq-UiAkT9_4 which is a sky lift roof riser which I think might be ideal but it's an Aussie system. I have also found an American one, but does anyone know of anything I can source in UK? The roof will just be of polycarbon but I understand there needs to be airflow to avoid it taking off in high winds.
I know, an umbrella would be cheaper!

The video shows you exactly how to build it, the only thing that you might need to get fabricated is the upstand connection but looks pretty straight forwardThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Have it constructed as a one-off? I hadn't thought of that. A bespoke construction, no less. I am certainly living in the right town for all things metal....Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

The joiner who came to look at the job was talking about doing it in a rather more conventional way. It was only when I was trawling through some Pinterest posts that I came across the Aussie Youtube item. As it seems to be possible I will bring it to his attention. I certainly haven't noticed anything like it here in a domestic situation.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
